The DreamStanding here, next to you
I stare into those eyes once again
Think back to when I first met you
How you stood out among the others
And for one short second that day
You were the only other one in the room
I knew there was something about you
Something incredibly great and special
And now I find myself back in the moment
I have no doubts, no concerns
I am sure you are the one
The one I have been looking for
All of this time
And that’s when it happens
I say the words “I do”
Have You Ever Felt This Way?Do you have any idea what it’s like?
To live every day, not knowing what day it is,
Because you just don’t care?
Because you are numb, you feel nothing….
Depression is not what people are telling you…
It’s not just a sadness, it’s more a feeling of nothingness
You smile and laugh, you feign happiness
But in reality you feel nothing,
You just know that is what you are supposed to do
And the last thing you want, is someone asking about it
So you just keep being a fake, and you survive
You lose track of the days
Because time goes by so slow when you can’t feel a thing
You feel as if you shouldn’
Come Back, Dear FriendYou’re falling away, slowly
Won’t take my hand
You could just come back
You’d be welcomed
Dear friend, you are missed
Return to how we were
That’s all that’s wanted
Please, just let it happen
A recovery of what's been lost
Through These EyesIn a city where it rains so much
How easy it is to just see gray
Not through these eyes though
These eyes see color everywhere
No sadness will be found in the rain
By me all that's found is joy and serenity
Each drop hitting the ground is a small symphony
I say let these tears of bliss fall from the sky
Breathe life into the plants
Quench the thirst of the city
This is what I see in a city so "gray"  
And it is through these eyes
I catch a glimpse of something angelic
Inside of you,when I look into your eyes,
I can see it, feel it, deep inside of you
A mysterious elegance that pierces the heart
I know now, my queen, there is
What Is a Hero?Look at these pathetic people
Calling themselves heroes
And why do they think that?
Because they donate to a cause?
How absurd a thought is that?
Just because they “contribute”
Pay off some bills of researchers
They think they can call themselves heroes…?
No, these men are the villains
In reality they do nothing
Throw some money at a problem
Hope it goes away, making them look good in return
How frustrating society falls for this
The true heroes in this world
Are the ones that live through despair
The people who suffer every day
But still carry a smile on their face
The heroes are the victims
Giving hope to the world.
Why do I care?My friend, where have you gone?
You left my life with such haste…
That you never said goodbye
It’s been a while now
What have you done with your life
These past 9 months?
Are you where you want to be?
It’s funny that I care
Because all you seem to be
Is the faded memory
Of an almost forgotten dream
Who am I?Who am I?
A man who could walk all night
And never find what I am searching for
A man who could sit and think for hours
And not come up with the answer I need
A man who believes in love above all else
But doesn’t know what to do when it’s his
A man who reaches success
Only to throw it all away
A man who is struggling
Yet won’t ask for help
But is this really who I am?
Who am I?
PassageSilently, you enter my life with grace
Engraving your name gently
Right on the walls of my heart
And with ease you gained something special
Passage to all my thoughts, all my desires
Hopefully you will want to stay
Your LightI feel the warmth of the light
Living in my heart
Only you could give off such heat.
Vowing to do all I can do
Every second of every day
Your happiness is what I desire.
On this night I ask one thing of you
Understand, my dear, I love you
DreamThere he stands,
The man simply known as Dream.
He's different now, fallen from grace,
And risen back up to it.
He was a joyous man, but he was beaten,
Torn and scarred, starved and tormented.
How did he get past it all they question me.
I know the answer, only because I asked him myself.
This is what he said to me,
"You can only be broken so much,
Eventually they stop trying,
Then you take every scar,
Every fracture and shattered piece,
And turn them into strengths and advantages.
Since they can't hurt you anymore,
You have nothing left to fear."
He turned his tortured soul into flawlessness.
That is who he is now, a hap
In everything I doIn the second it takes
For you to race through my mind
The world seems to have stopped
Just to give me time to savor the picture,
The one of you that never leaves my head
And the best part is I get to enjoy it often
For in everything I do, I think of you
You are my inspiration, my hope
Balance to my life is brought by you
So I thank you, my dear, my darling,
Queen and guardian of my heart,
For being yourself.
ScythesAzrael is the champion of darkness and sorrows;
The sword of the Fallen Angel only strikes once and beheads;
The horns of the demonic spawns will roam freely
As your word, your voice, your name torments.

It is interesting but logical;
You cannot keep it shut
You’ve been left out of control.

I’m not your demon, friend,
I’m just the spawn of doom.
Come here, take my hand
Let us go and face the boom.

Scythes, eyes, demons and pixies
Words, papers, ink and ideas;
I cannot see beyond this edema
I can’t and won’t stand your deadly enigma.

I was cut by your word
I was raped by your thought.
I was drowned in your wor
DoubtFor a fraction of a second
I questioned it all
Everything you've ever said
Wondered how you really feel
Felt an emptiness I hadn't felt in years
Should I just leave you behind?
Forget you altogether?
Then, in just one more second
It was all back to how it should be
Was I just playing mind games with myself?
I'd like to think I was, I hope I was
Because you are amazing
And you bring me joy that no other can
Barely BreathingIn this forest, surrounded by the green
We could finally breathe
Away from the mobs and those who were mean
In this calm little forest, I don’t think I’d ever leave

Our home was rotten, and the air was too thick
Mommy and daddy would bicker about everything
You and I, we would never get to pick
We could only dodge the words they would fling

At school, we could only suffocate
Because of the lies we would tell to our friends
I think you agree, there’s no point to debate
That we were dying there; it would have soon been our end

We couldn’t breathe in that empty little place
It closed in and choked us until we had to ma
ReincarnationReincarnation

A cascading aura of soothing warmth
Flowing gently in graceful waves
Descending from the incarnated form
As it stands there in radiant calm
Emergent from the valley of shadows
Gliding through dust and neglect
The feeling, the ideal, the desire
Reunited after that lonely absence

I want to welcome it, to let in again
But the memories of the past remind me
That feeling is a master of deception
It promises wonders and enlightenment
A world free from my constant darkness
The visions only present in my dreams
Taunting illusions of a better life
A claim hanging on each word it says

Is it anything like you dreamed?
Does my heart beat the same?
Or is it faster? Stronger?
Was it as peaceful as you thought?
Did you feel the warmth?
Are you comfortable being held?

Look back…look back on that moment
When you were enveloped in fantasy
Could you feel it in your heart?
That feeling, deep down, that you knew
Knew it wasn't really fantasy
But reality that had yet to occur.

Nicely written and very good it seemed like what that person fantasised about was being with you or someone and would realise that it was not just a dream but something that would be real. I may be wrong but on first look thats what I got from it like you were talking to them about this fantasy. Good poem as I said :)

Very intense and full of descriptive language. I enjoy the constant questioning that is a part of it as well - makes it seem more realistic, as if we are actually having a conversation. :) Very enjoyable!
